Drink in the News

One of our oldest ongoing projects, Drink, has been getting a lot of press since appearing in a PC Magazine article in mid-September. The article, entitled "The Ten Greatest Hacks of All Time", placed Drink alongside such ingenious improvisations as the 1961 "Spacewar!" video game and NASA's efforts to save the Apollo 13 mission.

WROC Channel 8 picked up on the story and brought a camera crew up to CSH for a short TV segment, featuring our chairman Angelo DiNardi answering questions about Drink. On top of that, RIT's University News also noticed Drink in the PC Magazine list, and ran their own detailed article on the project. Regrettably, the historical info they present is not entirely accurate: The Drink project was born in the mid-80's, not the early 90's, and Matt Campbell, while instrumental in creating one of Drink's many incarnations, was not its original inventor. We hope to get all the details of Drink's history out there once we finish revamping our Projects pages.

The coverage doesn't stop there, either: WHAM Channel 13 has expressed interest in doing an interview with us, so stay tuned!
