The Software Room is a smaller and more private version of the lounge. It was originally a place to do software research, but nowadays members usually do such things on their own computers or in the User Center. For this reason, it was repurposed in 2004. It now contains three couches, a large table, a projector mount, a surround sound system, and a whiteboard for members to use while working on projects or homework. Since this room is smaller than the lounge and has the feel of a living room, it is common to find CSHers reading here or playing board games together.
