Graduation party, juggling, a movie, and introspection

A little get together happened at CSH from 6pm to about 10:30pm for all the people who are graduating. Everyone sat around and reminisced a bit. It was quite fun. Also before that I had to do a little performance showing the things that I've learned in my Juggling class. Like everyone else in the class we still drop the beanbags from time to time, but I think everyone did well and I was quite pleased with my performance. My goal was to start juggling the 3 balls from a 2-ball toss while lying down on my back. Then I would sit up, then stand up, then stand on top of this 2 foot tall hard plastic ball (it's called a walking globe). The whole time I was supposed to be juggling (a 3 ball cascade) but I screwed up a couple times. For the finale, I was to catch one of the balls behind my neck, while still standing on the walking globe. I pull the finale off perfectly even though I wasn't assuming I would, so I was quite happy.

Then I went to the movies with Kevin...it wasn't a great movie by any means, but the effects were interesting to see and that's really the only reason we were going. It was "The Mummy Returns" for those who are interested in knowing.

Anyway, as we returned from the movie, we talked a bit about my upcoming graduation. One would think that because I'm graduating, those who are leaving for the summer might want to spend more time with me. Here's the kicker though, many of my friends will not come over to my apartment to visit me. Most of them use the excuse that they don't like the people I live with, but on the flipside if I don't go visit them, they always point out that they haven't seen me in a while. They are passive about the friendship. If I'm active and pursue them to talk to, they enjoy talking with me. I enjoy talking with them as well...I just wish that it was not always me that has to find them to talk to, because it makes me think that after I graduate they won't even bother talking to me, unless I am always the active force. I guess only time will tell.

So it was an odd day, a fun time earlier and then introspective later on.

I'm told it's only 15 more days until graduation...a very scary thought.
