Here's what happened to me. If you're not computer knowledgable, don't worry, just ignore the details: I've been wanting to upgrade the memory on my PC from 4 megs up to 20 Megs by buying a 16 Meg 4x36 72-pin SIMM. The latest advertisements had them listed as $580. Not a bad price. Well apparently in the last three weeks, a plant in Japan that creates a special chemical coating for chips (the only plant in the world) burned to the ground and the computer memory world has pricing shooting into the stars through January(expectedly). The chip I want is now priced from about $800-$1000 and rising steadily. Here's the good news! Someone on the net is selling me that chip I want used at $450! The current price on the 8Meg 2x36's is about $420 and for $30 more I'm getting a 16 meg chip! Awesome!!!!!!! I bought it at just the right time! Now I'll have 20Megs. She doesn't look the type, but apparently she went on tour with Guns 'n Roses to do a story on them. Metallica was there too. She sadescribed what it was like and how nice everyone was to her. You kinda have to see her to understand why this is strange. She l's a middle aged woman, on tour with two rock bands. Anyway, she had some really great stories and some cool pictures. At one time, she gave Axel a good tougnue lashing becuase he was doing something she didn't like, and she had this great picture of Slash in the dressing room with his hair wrapped up in a towel. You could see his whole face! But the best part was when she was talking about Metallica and something to the effect of, "And then James Hatfield spit all over me. I was in heaven."
