Last night.. I had a real weird dream...It was daytime. I was floating out
of my room (yes floating) and I went out into the NRH quad... I floated...
higher, and higher..then when I could see the entire campus from
up that high.. I could see the people walking on the quarter mile..
I heard the clock bell ring .. bong ... bong... bong..
3:00 ? I said to myself... Oh no! I have class! Just as I thoght that
I started to fall...faster...and faster..
It must have startled me because just then I woke up..
Weird dream ehh?

I think people float in their dreams because we all secretly aspire to
be free of the worries of life.. Floating..ie flying is a symbol of
freedom.. But then again maybe that is just what I think when I dream
a dream in which I float..

You know how you'll be BARELY awake and your kind of dreaming, kind of
awake? Last weekend, MJ was here and She had woken up and was laying
there and found my hand searching around the top of her chest. After I
woke up completely she asks me what I was doing and I said," I was
looking for a particular function key!". The weird part is that in my
semi dream I was actually looking for a function key on her chest. I
have no idea why, but it make complete sense in the dream. Guess I'm
on computers just a tad too much lately......

According to most Dream Interpretation Books, flying signifies a
decision or idea you have that has no real basis... I fly all the time
in my dreams, so I looked it up. In fact, so natural it is for me to
fly in my dreams that I could describe to you exactly how it is
accomplished. There are times in Real Life that I feel I am just SO
close to being able to fly... almost able to touch it... but not quite.
I fly too much to believe that the above interpretation can always
be true... that would put me constantly off-base with reality.
Funny... one dream I had... I was in my high school, attending
class as normal... a teacher came and found me.
"You're a mutant, right? You can fly?"
"Yeah," I nodded. The guy backed off, intimidated. "Don't worry,"
I said, "I won't hurt you or anything."
Keeping his distance, the teacher said, "okay... go up and touch
that ribbon." (There was a ribbon tied around a nearbye telephone
wire).
"No," I said, "I'm kind of afraid of heights. But how about I just
hover for you?"
And I wrapped my arms around my legs in a crouching position, and
just lifted up off the ground a couple of feet and bobbed there for
him.

Actually, I seem to dream quite infrequently myself... I hear the
average is 3-6 a night, but I only remember about 3 or 4 a month. I
think that is too bad, for I enjoy dreaming.
I have considered placing a greater effort on remembering my dreams
by psyching myself before and just after I have gone to sleep. This
should aid me somewhat. Reconstructing a dream from threads of memory
can sometimes be a tricky thing, but not undoable for the determined
mind.
If I dream anything cool, I'll keep ya posted.

Actually, I always remember whether or not I had a good dream. Like I
can tell by how I wake up, my body temperature, etc. Sometimes I'm

Oh, ALL three of my sisters talk in their sleep, and sometimes they
have conversations, and like argue over meaningless things in their
sleep. Or like Bethany goes, "Jessica stop it!" and then Jessica
responds, "No, you stop it!" and then they are silent again. It's so
funny. My other sister Charity has told me numberless incidents like
this, and I heard a few myself too, ehhe. David, my youngest brother
doesn't do anything at all, 'cept sleep. But, when I get REALLY cold
while I'm sleeping, I snore..eehhe. Also, Jessica sleepwalked once.
She just got out of bed, and walked to my parents room and stood
there. My parents asked her what her name was, and she just stood
there, and they finally just brought her back to bed. Another time,
they just told her to go back, and she did. It's strange.
BTW...My three sisters are younger than me...they are Charity, Jessica,
and Bethany. And the youngest is my brother, David.

I had a dram last night. I was thinking about it in the shower,
but despite the fact it had only been about ten minutes after I woke
up, I couldn't remember much of it.
It was a long dream, though.
Which brings me to a question. I've heard that most dreams happen
during the REM stage of sleep (unlike in Nightmare on Elm Street
Movies). Supposedly, the time in which you dream only lasts a few
minutes or so.
So how, then, can you dream some long drawn out dream that seems to
have lasted for hours, when you only dreamt it up in a few minutes.
I can't remember much about that dreams, but I do know I had two
seperate ones, and they both lasted quite a while. Each was like a
movie, with different scenes and such. It sure seemed like more than
five minutes.
But according to the people who know something about dreams, that's
all it was.
So here's something for you to gnaw on...
Imagine of your life was just a dream. One day, poof, your life is
over. You're someone entirely different. This entire life you once
knew, from birth on, was just a really vivid dream. Gabe Billings asI

I remember a dream I once had when my best friend in the world died.
She and I were both 16 and had known eachother since we were 10.
For as long as I could remember, she was always angry and suicidal
(even at age 10). Well, every day, she used to tell me that she was
going to die before her 17th birthday. I used to just ignore it,
because I didn't want to believe it. I was afraid. Day in, day out,
year in, year out, she used to say the same thing. When we were both
in our junior year of high school, she was very sick (vomiting blood at
the school fountain) and she made me swear never to tell anyone that
she was sick. I kept that promise. She died a week before her 17th
birthday, and the death certificate says that the cause of death is
unknown. Perhaps the mind is indeed a very powerful thing. However, I
felt like I killed her because of the promise that I made. The night I
found out she died, I was hysterical. I had a dream. In the dream I
was dreaming. I was walking into a bar with Jessie, and I looked at my
watch, and there was an explosion. In the dream I woke up, met Jessie,
and then went to the bar with her. I looked at my watch, and
remembering there was gonna be an explosion, I jumped over Jessie and
sheilded her with my body. The explosion happened, and when it was
over, I pulled myself off of her, and found that she was still dead.
It was like she was trying to tell me that, no matter what I did, I
still couldn't save her.

last as long as a week. The far more intersting of the two is the wolf
dream. I AM the wolf. I scout for a pack. We're hunting. But I'm
not sure what. The most intense night was the time I got my leg caught

Dreams last only ten seconds in our minds. But like looking at a
ten second film in reality, we kinda know what happened before it and
what happened after it and our mind fills in the blanks with our own
imagination. Now I have, but not here, dream reading cards. The look
like tarot cards but work on concrete things. They help you to
interperet your dreams, but unlike tarot, let your mind interperet how
it seems fit.

My best friend back home used to live in some other state (he only
told me once, so I don't 'member, eheh). Anywayz, when he was in
elementary school, him and his best friend were playing around, and
riding bikes near a cliff. Somehow he pushed his BEST friend OFF the
cliff when they were just playing.

Okay... Falling can mean several things; such as:
1) you are getting into something you shouldn't be... Examine all
your activities and try to find something that can be a little
more dangerous than what you are used to.
2) You need help
3) You are going to fall off a building soon... don't go on any
roofs
and sever more that are actually meanings... (2 and 3 are jokes.)
Persionally; I have always used 1.
Now; as for Deja Vou... I have had it several times, and find that it
is something usually small and very detailed. Something that doesn't
really matter in your life; but you will notice it...
I think that it's a point in time that everything must cross through...
Time lines exist separately, and are constantly splitting into
different dimensions. (sp???) That's where the billion dimensions come
from; and yet they cross at certain points; your dreams may be attuned
to a different time line; and that's why Deja Vou exists; it's your
mind focusing on a point that already exists; yet has not happened
yet... It's kinda like a future memory.
Continuation of dreams? I have had taht happen to me only twice..
Once, I woke up in a cold sweat, and fell back to sleep only to fully
remember both dreams in the morning; the second continuing the first;
and the second time, I was falling... The second part showed how I got
to the point of falling...
Has anyone ever CONTROLLED a dream? (I.E.. Woken up when it gets a bit
too horrifying?) I used to be able to wake up at will; but I can't
anymore; I have lost the control factor in my dreams; I wish I had it
back...

Once, I had conscious control of my dream, meaning I could alter
the surroundings and characters at will. It was really cool. Till I
met a guy in my dreams that i couldn't change. I could change his
appearance, but he was always the same guy. and always coming after
me. I tried running, but he kept after me. Finally, i stood and faced
him. I realised he was me. Weird dream.
Other than that, I almost always have control of what i do or say
in my dreams, for instnace if I want to run right, I do. If I want to
say something, I do. I have trouble waking myself though, and the
dreams that really freak me are the ones I can't control in any way
shape or form. Especially when they are recurring.

I get that deja-vu feeling alot. Especially in classes. Usually right
in the being of the quarter. It happened to me last Thursday in my
class. I turned around to listen to someones answer, then when I looked
forward again everything was flashbacking but the weird thing is that
I was remember having remembered before. A deja-vu of deja-vu.
As far as being able to control dreams, I've been able to since I
finally was able to win in a dream I had over and over again when I was
small. A vampire used to ride up the to the back of my house and then
come through the window. I usually woke up at that point. I finally was
able to kill him (sorry Vamp :) ). And from since, I've been able to
control dreams, well at least the ones that I could remember when I
wake.
Don't you hate it when you were having a cool dream, you wake up, and
then about 5 minutes later, you can't remember a thing about the dream?
I also swear I can dream in color. I remember people saying that you
can only dream in black and white. Any thoughts on this?

I don't see why you can't dream in color. I mean it's just thoughts in
yer head. If ya remember what the color of something was, than
wouldn't ya dream it that way?
The times when I really remember dreams are when I'm dreamin
peacefully, and someone wakes me up slowly while I'm still asleep, so
I'm half asleep, thinking 'bout my dream, but then when I wake up,
unless I'm thinkin of it the entire time, I can't remember it.

I dream in color... I know that for a fact.
Did you ever wake up in a dream? I did once; but knew (during the
dream) that something was wrong... woke up after having gotten dressed,
eaten, and gone through half my school day... I woke up, and realized
everything had been reversed in my dream.. the kitchen was left of my
room when it's really right of my room... wierd!

I just remembered something that happened last year... I had Deja Vou,
but it wasn't normal... I knew in advance that I'd know what someone
was going to say... It's wierd... I'll try to explain it a little
better.
1) Someone says "But if I go up and right... how does it work?"

"It works because..." (my part)
3) pre-Deja Vou "But if I go up and right.."
"It works Didn't we do this before?"
I knew that (I knew what he said before he said it) if that makes
sense.

I had a weird dream last night. It was one of those dreams where you
KNOW what's going to happen but you have no control to change it. I was
living in some house and I'm sittin on my porch when some dude comes
running down the street looking pretty frightened. There's aman
following (walking) after him, apparently the guy's father. I came
running down the stairs to see if the guy was OK?
Eventually the father comes up to me and we start chatting. He
keeps telling me how important it is to use your "might" in life. He
meant it in a very forceful manner, and it became immediately clear
that this dude had a screw loose. So what did I do? I go back to his
place so we can talk more about this theory of his! (Duh! Great Move
Greg..) So we get back there and he lives in some house that looks
sorta run down. The neighbors kinda go into theiur homes when we get
near them and then we go into the house. (You'd think that I'd change
my mind by now...) Anyways, he's got all these groceries on the floor,
and tells me, "OK. Bag them." I'm thinking that this has nothing to do
with might, but I do it anyways. Turns out he was impressed by my
bagging expertice. Then he keeps raving about how important MIGHT it
in life. It was like Hitler living on the block. Eventually I'd
realized from a 3rd person viewpoint that this guy was screwed in the
head, and that I'd better leave. So what did I do? I stayed with him
and decided to join him for a picnic! What the hell? Anyways, for
some reason I couldn't pull myself away from the dude even though I
just KNEW something really bad would occur in the not-too-distant
future. We were walking down the street and finally my alarm went off.
Time to get up. I was just glad to be awake and go to work.....

Does anyone out there heve REALLY bizarre dreams - not just an unusual
situation or perspective (e.g. your a wolf) - but where one scene is
barely connected to the next and things happen that would never
happen in real life? (flying doesn't count; from what I know lots
of people dream about it)
Take for instance this dream I had last night:
I was in my yard at home shooting some kind of toy at airplanes
overhead. I was with a dark-haired stranger. All of a sudden part
of an airplane falls off and comes crashing to the ground (I think
it was a chair or something) and this guy and I go looking to see
if anyone fell out and was hurt. Mysteriously the stranger turns
into my friend Andy. I see a little girl sitting in the road -
apparantly fell out of the plane. She only had a sprained ankle.
So we moved her into the house to get her out of the road and
for some reason that didn't seem strange at the time, Andy calls
RIT ambulance (quite a commute for them considering where I live).
But anyway they came and when I checked in on them to see how
everything was going, I was quite alarmed to find them taping
cigarette butts all over the girl's body. "Andy why are they doing
that......." then I woke up.
Anyone got any ideas about that one?

I had a dream alot like that when I was a little kid.
I was at the local swimming pool, just sitting and thinking. Then
an old bald man with silver flesh picked me up and drug me to one of
the back changing rooms at the pool. He took a narrow planer (a tool
for cutting off layers of wood) and sliced away a section in the shape
of the letter I on my foot. He then filled it with what looked like
mercury, but I knew then in the dream that it was molten silver. Then
he carried me down a long series of concrete steps, then out to the
pool, then up the high dive. The he through me off feet first, and I
knew I couldn't swim with silver feet. I awoke right before I hit the
surface.
To this day I can't make any sense of this dream, and it's bothered
me for years.

Yep Houdini, I do have dreams where I consciously know I am

I recently dreamed that I was practicing my Levitating... kind of a
bobbing sensation. I was demonstrating it for a few friends - it was
in a park or something, and I was about 8-10 feet off the ground.
"Anyone can do it," I said, "if they just -want- to badly enough."
I have become VERY good at levitating - a few years ago, when I
used to dream about it, I would have problems doing it right all the
time, usually only attaining some partial success. But now, when I'm
unconscious, it's the most natural thing in the world.
In the dream, one of my friends suggested I try some other form of
psychokinesis. "Try throwing a fireball," he said.
I tried it, but concentrate as I would, nothing happened. "I guess
I just didn't want to badly enough," I said.
I also showed them how I was working on telekinesis. From my
levitating position, I tried to pull a piece of fruit off a tree with
my mind - but rather than doing so, I pulled myself closer to the tree
instead. "Still working on it," I admitted.
