of the projects I've done.
News April 19 - Added a Projects section so everyone can see how awesome I truly am. And if you haven't already, check out the Nethack Stats. May 16 - Added some more stuff to the My Research page under Advanced Mathematics including some stuff on the 3*x+1 (Collatz) problem. I hope you find it interesting! Hopefully I post some more of my programming projects here soon as well. March 6 - Alright, here it is ToSymbolic. The function for Mathematica that extends the ToRadicals function. Right now it works on most quintics. Eventually I will hopefully extend that to some other classes of higher order polynomials and have it apply to all quintcs. Please give me some feedback if you use it! February 28 - I'm changing my project from ExtendedSolve to ToSymbolic. It will be used to convert Root objects in Mathematica to symbolic solutions. Right now it works on most quintic equations and some higher level as well. It's getting near completetion and since it's spring break I should be able to get a bit done. But for now, here's some "goodies" for you math freaks like me: February 17 - It's been a bit too long since I've updated but classes have been tough. On the bright side, I may have some nice new backgrounds pretty soon plus I'll probably be updating some of my math stuff over Spring break. I did mention a paper on the 3*x+1 problem but as of right now it really isn't getting done. Mainly because of some new information I've read that kind of lead me away from my current idea. I can send people the files that I have if their terribly interested. :) Also, I've dropped my buisness with AskMe.com mainly for the reason that I can't stand being flooded with other people's homework, as in all 25 problems or a prize problem that they are suppose to solve. And then, when you finally answer a question, half of the people didn't like the way you put it or how you didn't solve every single one of their questions. So, that's that. I hope I've helped the few that thought my work was nice. :| In the mean time, head over to Christian and Scott's Interactive Top Ten List. Definitely a laugh a minute. You submit your own topics and suggestions (I'm Topher, as always, btw). Always funny. Always. :) December 11 - I posted the expansion of sin(Pi/257) in the trig gallery if anyone's interested. December 1 - I just got back from Thanksgiving break and I've done a whole lot except work on the stuff for this site. However, I have posted the challenge above so see what you can do! November 15 - Added a page on gigantic prime numbers. November 9 - Been a while with no update so just thought I'd say I'm still alive. I've been doing a great deal of work on game engine design so I've been pretty consumed with that. I'm about half-way through the 3*x+1 paper so stay tuned. Hopefully, with Thanksgiving break coming up I can finish it. For now, I've added some more Optical Illusions, so check them out! October 24 - Just an FYI, I will hopefully be posting my research of the 3*x+1 problem soon. I've spent a great deal of time on this problem. I think I've made some interesting discoveries, but again I doubt they are anything too exciting (but wait and see for yourself! :P ) October 19 - Wow, I just stumbled upon Wolfram Research's functions website. It smashes my developing gallery into the ground. Holy cow it is awsome. They have tons of never before scene formulas. You must see this site!!! October 15 - Added a Fresnel Integrals tutorial. October 14 - Hey, got math questions? Head over to AskMe.com's question service! My ID is TopherTheGreat2 and I try to answer questions in the catories Algebra, PreCalculus, Calculus, Fractions, Triginometry and Geometry. October 7 - Uploaded some more cool midis I've found. Woohoo! October 6 - I've uploaded part of my integral gallery. I'm hoping to expand it a great deal in the near future. But for now, check it out! October 3 - I've added my research on the Zeta(3). Check it out on my mathematics research page! October 1 - Uploaded a bunch of stuff. I now have the polynomial gallery, trignometry gallery and quintic solutions gallery up! Also, I've added how to find the Sine of 1 degree and how to solve a quintic equation in trig. Check it out in my math section! |
