SETUP AND GOOD STUFF


I. THIS GADGET REQUIRES BASP21.DLL TO FUNCTION.

BASP21 is included in this package, but needs to be manually installed. To install:

1. Go to c:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\DrinkGadgetX (where X is the version number of the Drink Gadget). 

2. Double-click on installBASP.exe

3. Click "?????>", then "??????" (?s may be japanese characters is you have the right language pack installed)

II. Now that you've installed the gadget and BASP21, you need to navigate to the following folder and do the following things:

1. C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Microsot\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\DrinkGadgetX (again, where X is the version of the gadget)

2. Open "settings.vbs" in notepad

3. Find YOURUSERNAME and OMGSECRETPASSWORD

4. Replace them with your real username and password.

Now you're set to go!

III. Drink vs. Little Drink

Currently the gadget by default connects to Little Drink (as Big Drink was down for an extended period of time while this was written.) However, if those lazy painters ever get their act together and Drink gets back up, you probably want to drop drinks from it. To change what server DG connects to, do the following:

1. Back to the folder listed above

2. Open up "settings.vbs"

3. Find this line: server = "ld.csh.rit.edu"

4. Change ld to d, and you'll connect to Drink!

*****I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS GADGET WITH DRINK!!!*****
But it should work, because Drink and Little Drink run the same server.

IV. Bugs

If you encounter any funny bugs, please report them to ducker@csh.rit.edu so I can fix them in the next version!


NOTES

The gadget may take time to load- that's cause it's setting up Drink connections and stuff. Give it a minute.
