Teacher Process
This WebQuest is broken up into three logical sub-tasks.
- The first task serves as an introduction to the information and the project as a whole and is designed to demonstrate that it is a manageable one. As such, it is largely factual and should take no longer than one (1) week to complete.
- The second task requires more analysis and creativity and the students ought to be allowed sufficient time for the material to ferment in their minds. Two (2) weeks should be optimal to maintain the focus and allow development time.
- The final task requires that the students apply the information they have accumulated and make predictions based upon it. One (1) week should be spent on finalising drafts of the personal introduction (including instructor feedback cycles). The second portion of this task is more creative and should require minimal time spend in feedback loops, so one (1) week should be sufficient here as well. This brings us to a total of two (2) weeks for the final portion.
Additionally, I highly recommend performing at least the first task yourself and running through a demonstration for the students.
