Standards
This WebQuest is intended to imbue English students (native speakers and ESL/EFL students) with a basic knowledge of the development of the English language to help them make sense of the vocabulary and give them the tools to build meanings through understanding rather than memorisation.
NOTE — EFL/ESL students should have the necessary maturity at the specified age, but their language skills may not yet be advanced enough to tackle this task. Please read through this and linked sites thoroughly to prepare yourself for any difficulties and possibly pre-teach any necessary basic vocabulary.
